I have had an idea in my head for the past few years and this year I decided to make it my big scary goal. Being on maternity leave I thought it would be the perfect time to take on a big project before I go back to work.
So what is this big scary goal?
I’ve decided to host an online money summit for Canadian women called the Women Can Money Virtual Summit.

Maternity Leave is Not a Vacation
I told myself that I would have lots of time – what was I thinking? I still have 2 kids at home to take care of. It’s not like maternity leave is a vacation or early retirement.
But, I’m stubborn and driven so have decided to take on this project anyway.
I’m not going to lie, it has been insanely busy getting everything together. And I’ve done all of the behind the scenes work myself. But I’m loving it.
Why the Women Can Money Summit?
I’ve participated in and attended a few online summits over the years, and to be honest I was disappointed with the representation of Canadian women as speakers. There are some amazingly smart Canadian women when it comes to personal finance, so why weren’t they represented in these summits?
So I decided to create my own summit to provide a safe space for Canadian women to learn about personal finance from other Canadian women. There is no mansplaining and no 401k talk.

What is the Women Can Money Summit?
The Women Can Money Summit is an online event that has 17 Canadian women as speakers. Being a virtual event you can watch the speakers from your couch in your comfy clothes. Or at work on your lunch break.
Each presentation is under 30 minutes and full of actionable information to help you feel more empowered with your money. And The talks are all interview style so you don’t have to be worried about being bored sitting in front of a computer watching an insanely long powerpoint presentation.

In a word yes, and I’m not just biased because I’m hosting the event.
The total value of the VIP All Access Pass with everything included is over $1100. If you purchase your VIP All Access Pass before the summit starts on May 11, 2022 the pass only costs $50. During the summit the price goes up to $75 and then once the summit is over the price goes up one last time to $125.
